The Demonz is a large-area virtual reality game projected in to reality. Main benefits are that there are no limits in a scale of game-stage (it could be 1km long if you want) and no limit how many people can be involved in one moment. Technically it’s combination of motion-tracking and projection-mapping. They set up their Demonz video game installation last year in Prague that allowed both children and adults to throw balls at little animated characters and objects that were being projected onto a real wall with real scenery. I'll update after I've actually played with it but maybe Plasticity could verify whether what I'm surmising is accurate. The INITI collective has created a digital playground installation that places a multi-touch area on flat surfaces, such as a wall, for interactive play. If I have those two things right, TTPG is exactly everything I always wished TTS would be. It appears TTPG gives you the ability to design game pieces itself. With TTS, you need to use other software to actually build all but the simplest game pieces, then import them into the simulation. TTPG also appears to give you a much broader ability to create your own game assets in the app itself. When you draw a Chance card, the bank can automatically distribute money to you, based on which card you draw. If I'm understanding properly, that means (for example) that if you're playing Monopoly, when you roll the dice, your token could be programmed to automatically move the correct number of spaces. It would appear that while TTS is literally nothing more than a simulation of the top of a table, TTPG includes a scripting engine that (presumably) allows you to actually program the rules into the simulator, rather than just have them available for everyone to read.
